i think the tc would probably win. they were made to do that stuff. box was made to bash non believers.

 

u can't really push the box's engine any further unless you do an engine swap.

 

i would think the xb would win. The tc's are slow, i drove one the other night at the track and only saw high 15's (not a noob)...what do you think your car will run in the the quarter. I would htink that it would run a 15 right?

i'd say the tC would lose, but only because it's an automatic tranny. the auto gearing sucks for the tC. i'm not too sure how well you'd fare against a stock manual tranny tC with a perfect launch, shifts, etc. etc.

 

That turbo Xb is one bad ___....................should have gotten the turbo........oh well..........

 

Not to burst your bubble, but my n/a box can take a tc even with a trd exhaust.

 

 

id say it be a close race but the tc would win in the quarter because of gearing differences..........

i would prolly have to agree with you on the auto part just cuzz i've experinced three races against three diff TCs n i managed to take em with my setup but when i went up against a manual TC i got took about as bad as me runnin an Integra LS which wasnt to bad........id say 4 links max in the quarter.............i also think this post should be moved to Autosports..........

 

ill put a 5spd xB S/C up against a 5spd stock Tc anyday... i dont care for auto trannys unless the car has enough torque to warrent the use and gearing of an auto

 

another way to look at it, given a S/C xB with I/H/E estimate the HP output to be 150 hp (at the crank) and a Tc with I/H/E estimate the HP output to be 170 (at the crank) they both end up with a weight to hp ratio of about 17/1. the xB on the other hand has shorter gearing. so depending on the drivers, and the type of race, it would be a good race, but my money would be put on the xB... also, with the scenario that was provided in the first post, the xB would be the victor, but it would be counter productive to put an underdrive pulley on a supercharged car, a lightweight one that retains the factory diameter would be effective, however.

 

hahaha....I tried it with my friend last night. Nope the tc won.

 

close race. The zpi xb is making i think 180hp and the tc on there is a stck s/c making 200. and the xb won. So if you could get 150-160hp out of the supercharged xb you could take stock tc's all day. Well until your tranny explodes.

 

Or start hearing sounds youve never heard before like i did. lol.....
