Default My aftermarket exhaust is garbage!

Well i had my Blitz NuR Spec axle back since about february. recently ive been having problems with the exhaust sliding off the main pipe and creating a buzzy exhaust leak. just today the blitz was very annoyingly loud and buzzy. So i get my wrench and slide the blitz back onto the pipe. Crank it up and its still loud and buzzy at idle. I get under the car and what do you know. a little hole above the first exhaust hanger (hanger closest to the front) its little but enough to cause people to point and laugh. and sound like a 1.5L weed wacker :-\

i got it from a sponsor on SL that doesnt exist anymore. ( www.optionwagon.com ) im ready to toss the thing or sell it dirt cheap.

is it worth fixing? should i get someone to weld it back up? or should i trash it and get a strup?

im planning on a strup anyways but wasnt ready to get one now.

I honestly think the blitz is a good looking piece but im not happy about it leaking less than a year of ownership.

Call up blitz and ask. They should be able to help you out. If not, hiss at them on the phone and hang up. I'm sure you can get the exhaust fixed at an...exhaust shop. To keep it cheap, put your stock exhaust on and bring in the Blitz exhaust. They should be able to weld a patch or something *shrug*.

STRUP! I have a Blitz exhaust that I used for almost a year sitting in my garage that I need to sell.

Go Strup and you will never look back!

IMO- I think it would be worth welding a new bead (A.)save your money or (B.) Flop it for 60 bucks and pitch in a few bucks for a new one.

I am running a JIC Bullet exhaust. Owned it since September of 04 and its STILL DOPE> I am not positive but pretty confident its around the same price possibly cheaper than the Blitz....l.

Im gonna try this one out. but my stock exhaust is in an outdoor closet with lots of big poisonous spiders and biting bugs/flies . thats the only thing keeping me away from the stock exhaust.

The Strup uses the factory mounting points and hardware.

Default Some info. . .

Check this post out for more pics. . .
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=58868

After much deliberation of going custom or buying a premade axleback, I decided to go with the strup.

I ordered it from Partshippers.com. About $300 bucks but after hearing all the great reviews on it I couldn't resist. Also Strup is currently producing a second version. Two inches less around the barrel of the body and one less weld. I believe it was somthing about the scrapping some people were getting with lowered xb's.

Now for the bad news. Partshippers is currently on backorder for the Strup exhaust.
Good luck.

well i emailed strup about a partial or full sponsorship and i got a response today (since bellsouth DSL is garbage it probably was yesterday) for a partial sponsorship and deep discounts so yes the blitz is gonna be fixed up. i lost the bolt for my stock exhaust (dumbass) so i gotta run to lowes or HD to get a bolt.

i also thought about runing mufflerless for a day since i work 4 miles from my house and back and dont go anywhere at night.

to me it doesnt sound bad
