Unhappy My Box Is Vibrating :( Help!

Any ideas why? I thought it was my air intake, so I went ahead and replaced it with a cold air intake, but instead of fixing the problem it increased the vibrations. What should I do? Any thoughts?
Thanks Guys.

BTW, My car is an '06 XB with 94k miles.

Does it vibrate at idle? only when moving? When in park/neutral? Only in gear?

It vibrates a little when it's in park.. But it vibrates more when it's in drive and the most when in reverse. It doesn't vibrate when driving tho. Any clue?

My first thought is to have your motor mounts checked. If reverse is the worst it is probably the rear mount that is bad.

Did you figure out if it was an engine mount or not? Was the vibration a metal on metal sound or was it the whole car?

Sounds just like mine. It is probably the motor mounts. It is on my list of things to do, but I don;t have the time, resources or money yet.

me too, no time and money.. but i called a scion dealership and ask about my problem, they said that most likeley i just need a tune up since i have over 90k miles in it. they were saying that my sparkplugs might need to be changed and maybe the fuel injector too. i asked if bad motor mounts would have caused it and they said its a possiblity but rare to happen for an xb since xb have pretty good mounts and light engine.

also, i have been noticing that after driving for awhile my car vibrates a lilttle less. Do u guys think its a sign of a bad motor mounts also?

I had a van once that the heat shield on the exhaust would vibrate only while it was in gear. So since the whole car is vibrating then i would say your best bet is to start on checking the mounts first then look at that tune up.

The VVTI motor vibrates a lot anyway when you're stopped but in Drive.

Good spark plugs help for sure.

Well if its not the mounts at least the tune up wont break you to help find the issue.Should spend no more than 10bucks on set plugs.

I would also clean the throttle body, it helps a rough idle.
