I had one on my Chevy S10, I didn't really notice a difference in power but I did notice a difference in sound. It gave me a whistle sound.

I had the 4.3L V6 and didn't notice anything, with our small little motors I don't think it would be a good investment. IMO

if you feel like looking there has/was a discussion that with our motors they do work.

also on clubxb.com there is a long thread with the general findings that yes they do work.

got one ( not obx ) and yes there is a noticible difference.

i don't believe it would. the sc would negate the effects of the spacer , since the sc pressurizes the intake.

I just orderd on of these.. I think I am getting over the OBX
thing.. I have thier camber bolts, now this!! ( I have
installed some of thier header and intake manifold stuff on a
few civics with success, for other people)
They keep busting out with part after part, so I'll give them that..I'll post a pic when I slap it on..

i have a '06 Xb with a k&n typhoon intake system, i'm wanting to in stall a intake throttle spacer. Could anyone tell me if the cold air and throttle spacer perform nicely together and if anyone has seen a dyno report on a throttle spacer. The K&N show a 8 horse gain for this vehicle,I installed a 2"spacer on a '69 Swinger 340 once and it really performed. thanks, calboy

but it pressurizes the intake charge after it goes through the throttle body

I have both ( spacer and Typhoon) , the only thing you'll have a problem with is the attachment arm ( don't know what else to call it). by adding an inch , it moves the arm and puts stress on it, it will eventually break ( there is another thread some where on another sight or here) I found an easy fix , a custom mount ( maybe I should post a pic some day)

the biggest difference that I see between the OBX (personal coment deleted) and the one I have ( made by a guy here) are the "twist" on the inside. OBX has an awful tight twist compared to mine.

found the original post and style here....https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=50343

I ordered one the other day, should be in in the next 2 days or so. My buddy BLACKBOX06 has an off brand and says it performs good in the needed 2800-4000RPM range.
The problem is I am waiting to put it on untill I get my short ram, header, exhaust so I can install all at the same time.

I haven't installed mine yet. but did realized I need to research a different short ram than planed. The fujita is a stretch for the MAF sensor without the addition of the TBS

So if anyone knows of a SRI that doesn't stretch the MAF sensor and can be painted let me know.

P.S.
See the mount for the CAI at the battery, it does stress it
over, but should be managable

you know your pcv valve isn't functional with your currant set up

it needs a vacuum source for it to work properly...
