Default Ok here it is the Tanabe concept G installed +pics

Well I bought the Tanabe concept g because I wanted an aftermarket exhaust that wasnt too loud.I purchased a strup and installed it but for me it was too loud.I did some research and found that the Tanabe concept g is a new exhaust that is under 93db.Well I will tell you it sounds great. Not loud at all but you can tell that its not stock. The tail is 3 1/2" so its not too big.The fit is perfect. If you are looking to replace your stock exhaust with something thats not loud but still has a good sound this is the exhaust for you.The exhaust is dirty cause its raining today but I couldnt wait to take it out to hear it.Also the sound inside the car is quiet. The strup had this deep drone that bugged the crap out of me but the tanabe is perfect.

Excellent to hear. I am really wanting to get the Tanabe Medalion Touring for the wife's xB. It is rated at below 93 db as well. I had heard the Hyper Medalion in person and was very pleased. I was hoping that the Concept G and Medalion Touring would be even better.

that's an ugly exhaust IMO. Quiet, but ugly.

What?! That is like almost exactly the same as any exhaust offered for the xB! How can it be ugly?! IMO.

I think the canister is too close to the cutout.

This style (fireball style) isn't the best look for the xB. IMO of course.

If the canister (muffler) was pushed back a little, that'd be great.

So an extra 2" on the exhaust tip would make it beautiful then? Riiiiight...

If that exhaust is ugly...then 90% of people who post on here have ugly exhausts too, huh? What exhaust looks better? Stock? Tanabe medallion (shinier version of stcok)?
^^^The can fits the stock bumper opening perfextly. I don't understand what's supposed to be wrong with it.^^^

look at the greddy sp2. that's a sexy exhaust for the xb. You don't see any canister, and the tip is perfect.

OK... Not to offend "Wooish" the owner of the exhaust in this picture, but...

I do not consider this a "sexy exhaust." I don not care for the tip at all, and depending on the angle, you can see the canister.

Personally, I don't care for any of the exhausts that have the tip mounted directly on the muffler but that is more for clearance reasons. For me, this is as good as it gets for xB exhausts...

I think the Concept G looks great, tip size is perfect for my taste but I think the tip is over angled? Here's mine at different angle for your comparison. Everyone has his own taste so I think it's good that we get another choice of exhaust for our box.

Thankfully everyone has different tastes or all of our boxes would look the same. I do however agree with oldboxman that the strup V2 exhaust is too loud on the freeway if you want to listen to your sound system without hearing the droning on of the exhaust. To remedy the droning of the Strup exhaust I bought a DC Sports removable silencer so it is quiet when I want it to be (silencer installed) and looks good when I want it to look good (silencer removed).
