I just turned 50k on the clock. Just noticed today that my power steering is starting to moan when in full lock position. Bought it used so no extended warranty.

Do I panic or will the factory warranty cover it?

add fluid..check for leaks....

 

you got two options as to why.. leak or bad pump (option 3 leak resulting in bad pump)
if a pump has a leak, it is also sucking air, when that air hits the pump.. noise occurs,
so, if your lucky, find and repair the leak=all good.
If you need a pump.. all you can do is shop around (from dealer to used), your decision..

 

No leaks, fluid a wee bit low, filled it up, still moans. No bueno

 

$337.95 from Arlington auto. Ouch. And I gotta put it in myself and from what I've been searching it's abso no fun.
