Default Pulley options

So far I've heard of:
Perrin
OBX
Agency

Agency is around 125.00
OBX is around 85.00
Perrin isn't made anymore (from what I've heard)

Is there a difference between brands?

Thanks in advance.

you want the least amount of rotational mass possible, i recomend agency power, i believe that obx is slightly heavier, however i could be wrong... i believe as far as lightweight pulleys go agency and perrin are the lightest, now underdrive pulleys are another story, but personaly i opted for a lightweight full size pulley.

I got a new unorthadox ultra s off someone on eBay who never installed it, I got it for $20
I am intersted to see how the slight under drive reacts..
I honestly would have preferred the full size (as IH8ONYU), and that was my plan..
but I couldnt pass on the deal I got.

I think given your options I would go agency

i personally got the agency power pulley a couple years back.
i chose it over the perrin because of color choice and more attractive design (though that doesnt really matter because you can't see it really anyway, only the color is visible).

i noticed a lot faster spool up with the AP pulley in, so it made the box a lot peppier.

I see that balance align thing metal sticky (0,5,15) above the pulley i believe, dont you have to align with the new light weight pulley?

What did they charge you evosky?

So, explain this to me.

There are 2 different options for replacement?

i had my pulley installed at the same time my header was installed. it took about 3 hours labor because they ran into unexpected problems, came out to about $240 bucks, but the shop i went to was the only one i trust with my car (www.carv2.com --> now they moved to cali).

you can either do an underdrive pulley or just a lightened pulley. for the xB's, the lightened pulley is the most popular, since it just reduces rotating mass. Agency Power and Perrin are the big two for this kind of pulley for xBs. for underdrive, NST makes a set i think, as well some other manufacturers i believe. most people avoid this route because it involves new belts, potential drains on the battery, and several other potential electronics/power problems.

crank pulley and alternator pulley is what you are referring too. right?

yes, the lightened pulleys are for the crank.

the underdrive involves both crank and alternator i believe.

NST makes a overdrive alternator pulley and a light weight crank pulley. I think pulleys work great if installed correctly. NST is mostly overlooked, but I haven't read or heard anything bad of them.

I picked this up for 50 dollars total. If you search around the web, RALCO has good feedback.

I am totally against underdrive pulleys if it is your only engine mod.

That group buy will probably not happen.

How is NST claiming that the pulleys are not underdriven?

More so than any other pulley?

It is lightweight but not so lightweight that it is not underdriven?

Explain because I don't understand.
