measure the TRD muffler, then get a universal muffler thats has a 0.5-1 inch longer overall length than the trd, that way the shop would just cut and replace(weld, weld hanger).
but why would you do that?
just sell the TRD axle back, and have a shop made one for you.

If you have a muffler shop near you, most likely they have pipe bender. All they have to do is copy your axle back, heck they don't even have to see your axle back, they use a coat hanger wire to follow the bends and start from there.
hope that helps, don't chop your trds, its a waste if you do that. my 2 cents.

Why not buy an axle back that's made for your car? The time and effort might out weigh the trouble of getting a universal and a pipe made.

Could you explain why you'd want to do this though? TRD system is made by Borla FYI. For performance purposes you'd want this type of system for any upgrades like Super chargers or turbos...

I had the trd when I ordered my car and I didn't like it either, that is why I went custom. I am running a tanabe tuner series universal, it is _____in. I don't have resonator and it doesn't soud like most would think. It is in the way they desighn the mufflers that is why they are so exspensive, it is real deep and it pops a lot like a SRT 4 does. Just without the crackle.

actually I sold it to a buddy that bought one affter me. oh and with the exhaust I am running now inluding all the rest of the mods that were previously installed with trd I dynoed 3 hp more and 4 ft lbs more with this exhaust compared to before, just goes to show you how bad both stock and the trd really are. oh and cats are the killer in the exhaust on our cars, go with an aftermarket obd 2 cat and you will find yourself in a new world. sound and performance differance.

I HIGHLY doubt that. And there have been plenty of other in here that have stated that the changing the cat in our cars isn't worth the cost or effort in 95%+ of N/A applications.

You do realize it is louder cause its a turbo right? I would suggest staying with what you have til you have a real reason to switch and spend that cash on a different mod item.

actually a turbo vehicle is quieter than a non turbo. the reason an srt4 is insanely loud and sounds like total chit is because it uses no muffler at all.

that was I was thinking. I remember when my friend put a turo on his civic, the sound was quiter than his non-turbo set-up.
