Default Revving with no power?

Revving with no power?
My engine does a high rev and gives no power at times when I punch the throttle hard to get power like when I want to get on the highway quick or make a left turn at a light. Does not happen all the time either, but when it does I am like "WTF is that about?". I do get power after this though and it only lasts about 2 seconds at the most till I get power and torque.

- Automatic (hearing this is the problem)
- 13k miles
- Injen Cold Air Intake (short ram now)
- Tanabe SM Hyper Exhaust
- M2 Stainless Steel Race Headers
- RED 7 Ground Wires KT
- Red Agency Crank Pulley
- NRG Spark plugs

Rest of the other related mods are in my profile.

Would a CAMCON CONTROLLER help?

Sound to me like the transmission is slipping you should get it looked at ASAP before it gets worse and trust me it will, you must be driving your little xa a little to hard remember it’s still a automatic not a stick. Now if you had told me that your automatic was bulletproof that’s a different story but stock no way

13k trans slipping? I dunno sounds a bit over the top to me. Scary to think sicne most of my driving is street but I am not racing around like a crazy man.

I hate having to go to 20 dealerships to ge this dam thing fixed. Some dealers will not even lift my car or they say we can't do anything till you go back to stock. Makes me wanna give them the keys and walk out for good.

at 8k my condenser was punctured by a rock and them my compressor died. I had to get a hook up to get it fixed cause they were blaming the pulley.... BS!

you are still running NA, they will have a hell of a time trying to blame the failure on any of your mods... increasing HP by 5 and maybe toque my 5 will not cause the tranny to fail...

I agree, but I knew it was not my fault about the AC and compressor but they put if off on me anyway..

it does sound like it could be the tranny. i understand what you are talking about with dealers and them not wanting to touch a moded vehicle. i have a lot of trouble getting anyone to look at mine as well.

maybe if you consider going to a toyota specialist, someone who is certified to work on toyotas but is not affiliated with any dealers. they usually honor the warranty too!

By the way I am not really all that worried right now. The car runs very well, I have plenty to love about the short ram convert This is not an issue that happens allot. Did not think it was a huge issue and still don't. But does not mean it could be or wont be So I will try and get it looked at.

Do the basic checks first, fluid level, condition of fluid.

Other than that you have a warranty so you will have to take it to a dealer for a proper diagnosis.
Do you have tranny mods? if not than you have a warranty, this would be covered under the 5/60 powertrain.

Well if you are mashing the pedal give the fuel a second or 2 to kick in. I think i know what you are talking about it and its not that big of deal. You are mashing the pedal and it takes like a second or two and then the car gets going ??

Pretty much yeah, but it's not consistent. At times I get the power I expect, at times not.

PS: hehe, it has happened 2 times in the same spot on the same street So I figure it's the angle of the wheels and the sharpness of the turn for that one. VVT-I is a strange system. I mean form what I hear it's constantly adjusting itself. There is really no VVT-I kicked in yo! like the Honda system.

Maybe I need a management system form the mods I have done?

From what I know the VVT-i does not "Kick in", ever. It's always on and adjusting. I think it's your mods that kick in along with our foot acceleration. But I am not a VVT-i expert.
