i highly reccomend the DC Sport axle-back exhaust, its not to expensive, and it sounds excellent.

i went with Strup, and i have no regrets. sounds better than any other xA exhaust in my opinion, and the JDM angle is awesome too.

Greddy SP2 is great if you want something that sounds good and is not too loud. I have it on my xB and know someone who has one their xA. We couldn't be happier.

Default axle back and cat back

well let me tell you this axle back is from your headers till the rear axle is stock and just the axle back is aftermarket exhaust

the cat back system is fromt he catalytic converter back is all aftermarket parts

you gain more hp fromt he cat back from the axle back cause the cat back allows more air to flow out

I think I'm gonna go for the cat back myself, it's only an extra $100 for it.

Default well

lolz well do wutever but its an xtra 100 bucks for only like 2-3 more hp than axleback not unless your plannin to boost(turbo/supercharge) your car

and if you do go for a full cat back xa only has magnaflow cat back either that you have to go custom and when i got an estimate it was about 800+ dollars mendrel bent piping 2.5" all the way through

800 bucks? Whoa, that's insane dude. I don't know where you're getting that quote from, but a custome cat-back should only cost at least 150 maybe 200, but 800? That's insane.

And an axle back wouldn't add any hp as you still have the stock pipes and resinator. Also the pipes on a turbo exhaust are bigger than a reguar cat-back.

^^^^ In between highflow resonators, racing cats, header and mandrel bending ive spent almost $800.00 on my exhaust, but i can finally say its done. If you want a good job, good welding with great bends, then its gonna cost you. But if you want something cheap with no resonators, no cat's and a fart pipe, then yeah it will cost you $200.00.

Oh well yeah adding a new header, resonator, high-flow cat and a muffler then yes 800, but as far as having a shop only do the piping, 800 is silly; as this is what I that was stated in the previous post.

I believe I have spent 750 on my header + cat-back and I'll probably be spending another 150 for a new high-flow cat later on.

So yes, 800 is about right for a full set-up, but again, I thought he was referring to simply bending pipes.

i got a free header so knock off that from the price, but it's still gonna be a lot of money.

From stock, 2-3hp is a 3-4%hp increase. I do wanna get a dyno pull for a stock '06 5spd and mine tho, to see how much the header gave me, and where.

Thats only gunna give you a round about way of how much hp it gave you. Even tho your motor and another guys motor are the same they wont make the same hp.. So you would be better off dynoing your car with the header then without just my .02.
