should i worry about rain on my short ram intake filter for the XB? i notice that some rain gets into the hood and onto the filter which is right under the head lamp housing. anyone have trouble with this before? I thought about getting one of those filter covers.

 

Yes get one of those outterwears for the filter. I think thats what they are callled. Just a little added safety. But with a shortram, i wouldnt worry about sucking in water. It will never be submerged.

 

i wouldnt worry about it unless your gonna go swimming with your car or something because the filter should be oiled and water and oil doesnt mix but yea its nothing to worry about because i have driven with my foglight cover open while it was raining and ive had no problems

 

I live in the PNW and it rains here all the time. I don't have any problems with my intake.
