Default side exit exhaust done (pix included)

well people, i finally got my exhaust done.. exits just before the rear wheel on the passenger side with one small chrome tip (2.5") .. pix soon..

currently the car is unmuffled.. i intended to use this pipe strictly for autocross, but it's STILL too loud so i'm due back at the shop for some glasspack installation..

i hate posting without pix, but i'm too excited not to :D

mikochu: Updated with pictures!

Yeah if I am not mistaken, auto cross requires a functional muffler in most places.

So, you got a new pipe made from the header to passenger side? What size piping? Does it have a cat? If you want me to host the images..and maybe a sound file, just email them to me. :D

It shouldn't, if it's a proper exhaust. Unless he starts doing engine mods, I'd think he'd be in street touring or something. What class are you currently racing in?

Hey Tamago,
If you can, take pics of the piping. I'm curious how the piping was done. Also, is it a straight pipe? Or was the stock piping compromised?

i'll def take pix of everything, try and get a sound clip too..

the pipe is flanged right behind the cat, and i had a flange welded onto my stock center section, so i can bolt/unbolt and replace exhaust in less than 10 mins.. it's sweet, the muffler guy was all excited about it lol i guess it was his first exhaust like this..

piping comes straight back, turns where the stock piping turns, then instead of turning and going over the axle to the muffler, it just angles slightly and comes straight out in front of the rear wheel..

so basically like an L .. 2" piping...

btw, to those of you thinking backpressure isn't important... i'm here to tell you right now, you WANT some backpressure.. i hope the glasspack helps wit this cuz right now i'm not so hot in the low end torque.. not that that matters, in autoX (where i'll be using this, i will not street the car with this setup) i'll be up in the RPM's anyway..
