Default Strup Exhaust AND Header setup

I'm running both the Strup Performance Exhaust and Strup Performance Header... in case anyone was interested in Strup I highly reccommend their products. This exhaust is the best for the xA and xB in my opinion, because it has a very nice deep tone but it's not ricey or too loud at all. You can tell it's there, but you can tell it's tuned and not a fartcan muffler. And the header compliments it greatly, and there is noticeable power gains when driving uphill and merging in and out of traffic. Overall, the sound makes my xA sound a lot more mean and tuned, and it turns a lot of heads. I'd go with Strup because of the craftsmanship behind their products too... my guy who installed my stuff said that the welds on the Strup products were the best he has ever seen.... holla at me if you have questions about it, I can't put up a sound clip just yet but I'll post pics sometime soon.

Oh and to those of you who might be wondering, I was debating between the Strup, TRD, GReddy SP2, and Tanabe Hyper Medallion for exhaust... and Strup and DC for headers. Love the choice I made by sticking with Strup.

sounds pretty awesome. i personally run the strup header (with a TRD exhaust, which i'm planning on changing out in the future) and it definitely gives the xB a good kick. you can also hear the low rumble the header adds to the flow. as zdawg said before, there is noticeable (butt-dyno) gain in the high rpm's especially around 4-6 K.
good quality stuff.

With the header and muffler change you said you felt a differance in the car, right? Last time I was under my xB I was looking at the exhaust system and noticed after the cat the exhaust piping gets smaller. Does anyone know if you will get even more of a power increase if you enlarge the piping, and maybe do it with manderl bends in the pipes. It just seems weird that everyone is doing headers and mufflers and not even looking at the pipe diameter.

I have strup's axel back on the box now, and it sounds great. Just got the header last week, and hope i can put it on soon, waiting for the weather to warm up a bit.

youll love it.... i was at Scion VIP's Winter Grand Prix II (Boston) this weekend and impressed a lot of people with this setup. most comments were about how nice the tone is and how un-riced it sounds. side note - the performance has been great so far, i pretty much went all out on the highway this weekend and took down a few civics and focus's (shh haha)... the pickup is noticeable and it sounds great when its supposed to on the RPM's

I was at the Scion Grand Prix II with Salik and was impressed that an xA could sound so good. Didnt sound ricey or raspy at all, just nice deep exhaust tone....

Does anyone know about using the silencer with the Strup exhaust? I don't mind the loudness around town, but I'd go nuts if driving a couple hundred miles with any more noise. The xB is already pretty loud on the highway.

i use it because i live in a very quiet neighborhood

I just got a strup header on ebay for $150 total.

Pretty decent, right?

The guy had an strup exhaust too and it went for around $160
