Default Supercharger, I see them but where can I buy them?

I am looking for a supercharger for the little 1.5. It is the same engine that is in the ECHO so some performance parts are out there like Turbo chargers, but I can't find the superchargers. I know they are out there because I see them on peoples XA's and B's on the internet. Is it some secret? does anyone know anything about procuring a supercharger?

All i know is that the people that have them are sponsered. But some companies are soon to realease both S/C and T/C's. I can't wait til TRD comes out with their S/C.

TRD is making a S/C for the tC

the xA and xB are getting a turbo from TRD.

Aftermarket, there's a bunch of superchargers....blitz, power enterprises, etc.
not too sure about turbos.

We're putting the blitz s/c on our project car, and I (personally) wouldn't put anything but TRD on my xB because I like my warranty.

TRD Supercharger will be released in June 2004 and be covered by a 3 yr 36000 mile warranty and add +50HP and +50TRQ so you will be running low 14's high 13's in the 1/4 mile and it will be around $2500.00..................

Blitz and Power Enterprise already have a Supercharger available to purchase for the xB.

TRD will be making a Turbocharger for the xB...who knows when it will come out though. Same thing applies with Greddy...they have one for the bB, but need to tune things for the xB.

huh :? : Concept turbo is a prototype supercharger? odd description

"The TRD Concept Turbo xB showcases the TRD 1.5L Prototype Supercharger that provides an additional 50 horsepower and 50 lb.-ft of torque — almost a 50% increase over the 2004 TRD xB's 108 horsepower DOHC inline 4. On top of this, the Concept Turbo features the TRD Sport Muffler which Toyota says brings in an additional 3 horsepower and 3 lb.-ft. torque, along with "tuned sound, without intrusive noise". Do the math, that's 161 horsepower using parts straight from Toyota! (Toyota's TRD Parts Catalog describe the Scion Sport Muffler as offering a 2 hp increase.) Sitting on Racing Hart Evolution 5-spoke brushed aluminum wheels (18"x7.5") with the TRD designation and TRD-logo center caps with 215/35 tires from Pirelli, the Concept Turbo xB has a tuner engineered appearance straight from Toyota. Let's hope Toyota makes the production Turbo just as racy."

Spec:
TRD 1.5L Prototype Supercharger
Utilizes a Garrett T25R turbocharger with intercooler
Increases horsepower up to 50 hp and 50 lb.-ft of torque
Provides up to 7 lbs. Boost

With jusy that in no way will you cut 4 seconds off. You will be right at ~160hp which is the same as a Civic Si. Which runs mid to high 15's stock. Since we weigh ~400lbs less we should be hitting low 15's to high 14's.

I am not going check on it myself but dont forget that Hp doesn't always determine acceleration. What is the difference in the gear ratio? there are a few little things can make minor differences. and VVT helps out too but I dont know if the Si has that as well, I thought all cars did. My 87 Alfa Romeo has VVT and it is old. Chances are that you are right though but a supercharger on this little car might improve acceleration beyond just the HP increase in it. We will have to wait and see. i just want to believe ya know?

That's some bvery true points. But I would wager that like any economy car these cars are geared for cruising just like the echo, civics, etc.... When they thought of this car, acceleration was not even a thought, they wanted mpg.
