Default Tips on install for SRI?

I just ordered the Fujita SRI for my xB. I was wondering if anyone had any general or specific tips on the install. For instance I know that some people were having to clean the inside of the Injen SRI before install. Or removing the battery to place the filter on the SRI. I have unlimited access to Techs, tools, and lifts, so anything would be nice. Also has anyone tried putting on the filter without removing the battery?

you don't have to remove the battery to install a SRI. Check out the DIY in the tech section, it should only take 20-30 minutes to install.

There's no way you could mess up a SRI installation. It probably won't even take you 20 min.

I removed the battery when i did my SRI, just to free up alittle space under the hood to make it easier to put it in. But you dont have to, makes it a little easier thou.

The instructions from Fujita are top notch. I removed the battery in my wife's car just to make installation easier. You should disconnect the battery to reset the ECU any time you do performance modifications anyway. And the installation really is straight forward, with only minimal tools required.

It's a lot easier to pull the fuse for the ECU, that way you don't have to re-set all your presets on your radio.

i have the fujita intake on my car. i'm not 100% sure but i dont think you can put in the fujita intake without taking the battery out, the air filter is huge.
