Hello everyone, unfortunately my first post here has to be asking for some help as I am currently struggling with removing the transmission from the engine itself.
The clutch is due for replacement and is totally fried due to a very young previous owner. I am no stranger to removing transmissions but this one has absolutely been a nightmare.
All bolts, cables, starter, and steering components have been removed and verified via the SCION XB FSM. However the mating surface will not budge off. This is a problem usually attributed to excessive heat or oxidation. Many methods of jacking it up, Blasting it with both WD40 and PB Blaster (leaving it overnight), Torching it, prying it with massive prybars, and giving it a wallop with the good ol' "Purse" have all proven unsuccessful. I and many of my master mechanic friends are all at our wits ends with this issue. Any and all advice or guidance will be absolutely appreciated.
It's a 2006 XB with only 108k miles on the chassis and I would very much like to avoid sending it to car hell.
