Default TRD Muffler knock-off?

Ok, I searched already.

Who makes the TRD muffler?? I've found posts on here that say Borla, and other that say Magnaflow. Which is it?

And also, can the same/similar muffler be purchased from that company for a lower price??

I like the TRD, but not the price... Is there a cheaper muffler out there with the same specs?

The trd muffler is nothing more than a magnaflow muffler with a tip. If you want a knock off PM me and we will talk. :D

PM'd you

Anyway, if that's the case, why isn't anybody just making a TRD copy-cat system and selling it for less? Like using a non-stainless steel muffler, and a regular tip that's not embossed with "TRD" logo?

Magnaflow mufflers aren't that expensive... What part number is it? I'll just have a muffler shop weld that one up for me... Save a bundle and still use basically a Toyota recommended part...

There are plenty of Magnaflow axlebacks around.

Yeah, but how do they compare to the TRD? Price and sound level wise?

I can get a TRD for $249 shipped... But can't I just get the same/similar Magnaflow muffler for like $100 and have it welded??

Does anyone have a part number for the magnaflow muffler that's closest to the one TRD uses?

hey DON you could get a large body 2.5in and 2.5 out muffler then run a tip and if it's a large body it'll be pretty close to the same sound level . lemme go peruse the magnaflow site a bit see what i can find.

Thanks!

I looked around the site too, but I'm not sure which one is the closest...

Wouldn't 2.5 in/out be too big? Is the TRD that big?
