VCS-Trac OFF- Check Engine Light ON
I need help...
I was driving home from work tonight in my 05 XB and within about 20 seconds of eachother all three lights VCS-Trac OFF and Check Engine come on..
Im at almost 109k miles..have had all my services done...everythings up to date..Ive even had the Gas tank and filler pipe replaced due to a malfunction..
BUT all in all, ive NEVER had a problem with this car..
WHY now?
Im going to scan the codes tomorrow to see what the problem may be..
Any advice?

Thanks for the replys!
I guess im the lucky one with a father who owns a shop!
He scanned the codes and the onlt one that came up was an emissions code..
you're right, with the engine off the other lights do go off, so those were unable to be read. But now that the codes are clear, i could only wait, drive and see what happens!
Will advise!
thx

I'll bet you the second O2 sensor had a bad connection at the plug or something just try plugging and unplugging it with the car off, its under the center console right by the e-brake handle.

Wow, this is notable. I wonder if all years, 04 & up, have this.....

I have only seen the angle sensor in a Hyundai Azzera and the Acura RL. If the alignment is out on those cars, or it isnt calibrated correctly you get TCS/ABS lights.. The xB having one, and also thowing a CEL, is news to me.. I'll check all data later..
^^ lol
Confirmed.. there is a steering angle sensor!! Had no idea.. gotta watch getting alignments done, even though I have performed two myself without issue. The Hyundai and Acura dont let you get away with it, without recalibrating it everytime.
Leave it to Toyota to not make a pansy one, I guess..lol
Doesnt say anything about setting a CEL though, just VSC and ABS
