Default Why do we only get axelback(xa)

Is there some reason that most exhaust are only offered in a axelback for us xa's? Is a cat back not reccomended for some reason? If i go custom and have a cat back constucted what will that do?

You can prolly get a custom Magnaflow set-up from the resonator back, in 2.25 inch, for prolly around $300. More than likely just under $300.

I think the reason there aren't more cat-back systems for the xA (or xB for that matter) is that there is not enough return on investment. Meaning, that adding the additional piping adds cost without any real benefit. And lets face it even with a full cat-back exhaust the most we would be lucky to see is a 3 hp gain. And you can get the same performance from an axle back system without the additional cost.

Besides that, you may end up sacrificing low end torque, with no top end gains just to say you have a cat-back. There is a whole lot more to building a tuned exhaust than slapping on larger diameter pipe and calling it good.

Not that many xAs asking for catbacks, so the market is not there.

I wanted a free'r flowing system, and at first only wanted to do the center exit from the axleback connection, but when the xB was on the rack, I flipped out the resonator and went from there. I mainly drive on the freeway and wanted something that would flow nicely.

I forgot to add, everything I have on the xB will be going on the xA. I need to get my xA as my garage is filled w/ parts and I'm loosing the room!
