Default Wideband on xA/xB?!

Hey all how are you doing?!

Just wanted to put up this post to get an idea of how many people are currently using Widebands and which brands they are using and how much you paid (if you dont mind stating $). Post up your experience and how you like it or not like it. Just trying to get an idea to help you guys out and maybe get some good prices for you all that dont have one or need a better one.

Thanks
Ryan

A wideband gauge is used to measure your Air/ fuel ratio's of the car.. It is very much like your O2 sensors on your car.. but more precise mesurment then the factory narrow bands O2 sensors.. Here is a pic of one..

haha totally off topic, but billy what type of cars did you smoke in your box... so far, i smoked my buddies rx8 with an exhaust, we did a launch, and i kept up with a audi rs6 on the highway, and i am not lying at all, and he did pull from me at like 110 when i shifted into 6th gear ... some misc kills are a v8 blazer, and a honda accord.. i want to compare billy

I believe the 2 most popular widebands are from AEM and Innovate Motorsports.

I personally don't see the need to run a wideband on a stock car but it’s almost a requirement on a super or turbocharged car.

For the money I think this would be the best investment as it offers more features like EGT, Knock, Boost, Data Logging and also comes with a real time dyno feature although I'm a little suspect on that feature.

I have an aem wideband on my turbo Miata. It is the model with the integrated controller, about $400. I can't see much use for one on a Box unless you are boosted and have an adjustable ecm.

I don't think a boosted box would keep up with an RS6, that car is a rocket. My 2100 lb/260 rwhp Miata probably would not hang with an RS6 at high speed. Now on the track, that is a different story
