weapons r has an intake mani on their site, but it isnt "supposed" to be ready till like christmas or something. would be nice tho.

That was last christmas!!!!! Doh! Last I heard from them directly is that they are not producing it. How is anoyone supposed to get more than 10 psi of boost with a plastic mani?

people seriously need to start looking into making one i think we have shown a good amount of interest in this manifold. n/a and boosted have gotten interest.

well as soon as my dad shows me how tig and i get some practice, im just gunna try and make my own manifold. help my engine out for when i go turbo

I would be welling to bet that no company out there has better funding or resourses or engineers than Toyota. Im sure the factory intake manifold will flow better than anything that may come out.

anything less than factory will be a loss in power im sure, the ONLY thing that could work is to DUPLICATE the manifold but port-match the throttle body opening for a larger bore throttle body.

Also there is a reason the intake manifold id composite(plastic). It is completely smoothe inside, so there is no casting deformations...
plus heat-soak is at a minimum.

I wonder about an OEM style manifold, but with internal velocity stacks on each runner.. built in TB spacer.. hmm

I think the larger TB is out for pre order now though.. saw it on SL.. the forced induction section I think

The TB pre order has been out since december and was supposed to be delivered to the people that preordered in march. Still nothing...

The newest issue of Siphon has a black and orange Yaris with ITB-it is sick-but that car also has a lot of $$$$ in it.

Can't find out much on it as far as where and how they got that

toyota may put alot of engenering itno their parts, but they stil need to meet emissions standards, sure the plastic manifold doesnt heat soak as much, but like blown said, except make it aluminum witha phenolonic spacer, larger TB and no TB coolant lines should make power, if honda ( and i usually dont say this) makes some of the best 4 cylinders around, then how come a new intake mani and tb make more power, if im horribly wrong, then correct me, but i make a point dont i?

I wanted to say that too ^^ the goal with this engineeering was cost effectiveness and fuel economy, nothing more. the
plastic happens to have some good side effects, but I am sure a better power producer could be engineered, if that was the goal. I think the mistake thus far has been makeing it sooo much bigger than OEM.
