Haha true, but the black ceramic one is double the price yet no one has reported any cracking.

So maybe this is good enough? I mean its the same material and the welds look legit.

Yea im a little bit on the skeptical side, but the material is legit it cant crack. Maybe if I offer them an extra 20 buck for a 2 year warranty? I'll just run it hard as hell and if it cracks before then I get a new one for free haha.

the $20 ebay header is an every day item, provided you want to pay double for shipping... It's been an "intoductory price" for the last few years.

Personally i prefer to pay for a quality brand header made by a company that does their own testing, rather then chineese or korean knock off's, but if budget is a concearn it's only $60.. if something goes wrong, you can have it welded back up or just trash your $60, again its only $60 i'de save the stock header though if i were you just to be safe.. you'de probly want to clean up some of the sloppy welds and polish the side that marrys up with the engine..
Many that have got these have had no problems with them, but i love my dc sports, i just wish they would have went into production with the 4-2-1..

Good point, but if it cracks wich it shoudnt according to other reports, I can just swap my old one or get another for the same total price a an OBX header if not less.

The funny thing is the 45 dollar header is only like 20 bucks shipping but the 25 dollar header is 40 dollars shipping.

Haha go figure?

holy hell... that's a joke...

and you can also see where the guy is making his money... I sold and shipped a spare tC Megan Racing header half way across the U.S. fully insured for 16 bucks.

Shipping is a bit high, but there are tons of people here with ebay headers who love em. Personally, not for me. I got my MMW brand new for 100 bucks a while ago.

Does it still utilize the stock heatshield? both the MMW and the ebay header.

Also I woudnt mind getting a top quality header if I am going to make my own exhaust when I go back to school and get a hook-up from the local exhaust shop.

Thanks for the info.

This one probably doesn't... I haven't bothered putting the one back on my MMW.

Supposedly the new MMW (the one that's branded Weapon-R) doesn't have mounts for the shield anymore.

I had one of these headers on my xA for about 2 years. It worked great, sounded nice, but i dont know if there was any HP gain... Never cracked and it got ABUSED!! 6 track days and 2 Auto-X, it takes a lickin and keeps on tickin!

thanks for the info sosa. Souns like im going to get it. Hopefully full custom exhaust for under 200 bucks this way. Really cheap labor. The most expensive parts will be the higflow cat/cat's depending on my setup. I figured it woudnt gain anything, but still a nice addition to the stock poo poo header lol.

How long was break in till the smoke went away?

Did you get the one i posted or the black ceramic coated one? They are both the same price including shipping except one is more expensive haha.

I got the 60$ chrome one, works great and def.a powerband change. before it seemed like I was making the same power at 3.5 as 5.5k now at 4k it jumps..welds are top notch really.. And yes custom exhaust for sure helps. SLP sells "2nds" cats on ebay I got mine for a mere 37shipped. Coupled with the longest glasspack you can find and 2-2.25 piping and whatever muffler at the end N your golden.. mod on!

Aluminzed steel is only 15 bucks for 4 feet of tubing...30-35 bucks max just for the piping. 60 bucks labor (till the job is done, flat rate) lol, and I will just run 2 inch tubing all the way and make the muffler 2inch to 2.5 inch or something. wooooo

Magnaflow's highflow cat's are sweet too.

O did I mention no emission's in my county? hehehehe

It made my firends car sounld like it had an empty bean can rattling around inside his muffler. And no it wasnt from something loose or vibrating it was the exhaust. Raspy was 'cool' when the first fast and furious came out now its just annoying haha.
