Default ZPIracing XB crank pulley

ZPIracing is proud to release the first of its XB product line. The ZPIracing xb crank pulley is a great new product that will offer great acceleration over stock and a increase that you can actually fell.

This pulley weighs exactly 1.1 pound

Just thought we would share this with you all. Look for more exciting parts for the xB as we get the line under way. We should have rods and pistons done soon for you hardcore guys.

Keep us in mind as we now carry xB parts.

Thanks

-Kenny

Can anybody answer this??

I'm stuck between this one & the Perrin. the Perrin is 1.3lbs & not underiven (good thing) ; the ZPI is 1.1lbs & ???

if it's underdriven, I'll get the Perrin, if not, I'm so on this.

Well the new ZPI Pulley LOOKS identical to the Agency Power lightweight Pulley. And as far as I know, the Agency Power pulley is NOT under driven. If the products are identical (or one in the same), I would say go with the ZPI or Agency Power over the Perrin. (Cheaper and lighter.)

It almost looks like that pulley used to say agency power on it. Weird.

And they are not underdriven. Same dia. as stock.

I never actually got to look into the Agency power pulley, I sold my xB right before they were available, or at least became popular enough.

Well, the front of the pulley has AGENCY POWER etched into it. Wouldn't be hard to take off with say, a grinder.

It's on the site, says 134 or so I think.

SO, what is the weight of the stock pulley? How much estimated HP does this free up on the motor?

Seems like it could be repackaged, or that's jut the best available design. *shrug*

More info other than it simply being lighter would be good.. like est hp , etc.

It's a repackaged product bro. There are a couple different designs for the TC pulley. So that's not the case here

So they have been 'developing' for the xB and release someone elses product?

Go you guys!

So how much does a stock one weight? If stock is 1.7lbs, i'm not too impressed... ;)

From the site linked to:

""This pulley saves almost 4 pounds over the stock unit. Since the pulley is kept the same diameter as stock, you retain the factory style belts and incur no alternator affects for your custom car stereo system. Less rotating mass equals faster throttle response, increase in horsepower, and torque. With this pulley on your Scion, you will see gains of up to 9 wheel horsepower as tested. ""

So that would put the stock pulley in the 5+LB range and an estimated gain of ~9whp. Seems like this and a shortram intake are the cheapest mods around, and offer the two largest gains N/A.

Looking at the two polished ones side by side, they don't look the same to me. The big holes look bigger, the medium holes smaller and the small holes are closer together. Maybe they are for different cars. And geometrically, there's only so many ways you can redesign this part and keep it balanced.

What if they really did make this themselves? Let's not mock and accuse people of something that may not be true, especially when they are trying to put out some performance parts for our cars. That's not going to gain any favor. C'mon, even pigs know to do their dirty work in the corner furthest from their food dish...
