Blitz SC + Koyo = badness (was: Codes P0511 and P0505??? )
EDIT: I located the IACV and, as I was thinking about how to clean it, I saw that wire number 1 (black-red) was broken off and wire 2 (black) was worn. I disassembled the TB and CAI, then I repaired the wire. The pins do pop out after removing the white thing and pushing on the little latch with a nail. I soldered a new piece of wire in an reassembled it, but I ran the IACV wires to the inside of the fan frame so that they would not be pressed up against it. I also freed up some of the IACV wire from the harness for some play and used a nylon zip tie to keep it from getting into the fan.
The IACV wire connector still comes pretty close to the fan, but I am hoping that the filled engine mounts will keep it from moving too much.
I could not move the intake assemblye any further away to improve clearance.
FYI: I have a Blitz supercharger and a Koyo radiator. The radiator appears to have moved the fan further back into the engine bay and my IACV does not clear it.
p0511: Idle Air Control
P0505: Idle Speed Control
The idle does get a little wierd at times. I had it in neutral while the car was moving and the tachometer needle kept bouncing from 500 to 1500, but the engine was not revving up and down like that when i listened with the radio off.
it is generally running well, but i cannot get rid of those codes!
The P0511 (and possibly the P0505) came up along with some misfire codes (P050x). I was pushing my car really hard at the track. The misfire codes only came on after I had been red lining it accidentally. I cleared them, but the P0511 keeps coming back.
I have a Blitz. I checked my hoses and reseated the MAF and TB sensor wire connectors. I will check again tomorrow. Maybe one of the intake interface tubes loosened up.
Any ideas?

The Toyota repair manual says if you have both 511 and 505 then it is a problem with the Idle Speed Control Valve.
P0511 means an Open or short in the ISC circuit
P0505 mean the idle speed continues to vary greatly from target speed.
