Cold air Filter keeps falling off!!
I've had the K&N cold air filter for 3 years and I replace 1 a year because it keeps falling off. I noticed the AEM and JDM and Injen looks to have a lip right where the filter goes on. Is that true? The K&N does not and if those other brands have a lip I would say K&N fell short on making a quality product and at $55 per filter I'm ____ed. (belive me I tightened it good!!) Thanks for everyones help.
?
i have the injen SR, it does have a lip about 3 - 4 inches bach but i didn't push the filter over it (i don't think i did)
try rapping some elecrical tap around the end of the tube thick enough to create a stopper and slide the filter over that.

clean the inside lip with a little rubbing alcohol , and then do the same for the intake ( only the outside.
I've had my K&N since birth on mine and never had this problem.
Also you don't need to really tighten the clamp down that tight, it should be a snug fit to begin with and by clamping it down really tight you'll only bend it out of shape and never get another to fit right.
