Default Differences between HKS and Greddy Kit

I know hks uses a T25 setup, is this the same size turbine the Greddy setup uses? Does anyone have experience with the FCon ems. I called HKS and got some info, but no comparison between company products. Can anyone else tell me if there is anything else different. I feel the small T25 setup would be good for daily/daily(4-6psi) knowing well that i would be expecting lowend, mid, and boost tapering off in high rpm.

The greddy and the HKS kit are very comparable. They are both non-intercooled kits. However, greddy has the option to upgrade to an intercooler where as HKS does not offer one for the xB. When I asked HKS about an available intercooler, I was told that the car will not produce enough power to warrant in intercooler.

The HKS kit comes with the FCon mini, where as the Greddy kit comes with the Emanage. Both very comparable to each other. Most GOOD tuning shops will have lots of familiarity with these units, so they wont be hard to tune either way.

The HKS kit was developed directly for the USDM xB, whereas the Greddy kit was originally developed for the JDM xB. I believe there was some tuning issues in the beginning with the Greddy kit. I am not sure if they fixed that.

The HKS kit is a very nice kit. Im not too familiar with the Greddy one, but I know the HKS is a true bolt on affair. It even includes an oil pan so that you dont have to drill or tap an oil return hole which is very nice.

Also the HKS does not require the tapping of coolant lines for the turbo which provides a cleaner install.

In my opinion, I would lean more towards the HKS kit. But I am partial to them as I run all their products on the supra as well...

Thanks for the info, this will be an 2006 xa install( i know the pin outs are different per 2005/2006). I have seen the greddy kit installed on the xa, and my only issue with the fitment as i saw it was the greddy throttle body piping over the block. The piping imo just looks to in my face.

so is the greddy turbo kit not a complete bolt on or do you have to drill into the pan and get coolant lines ran to the turbo??
