Default The End of Blown_xa

My xA isn't officially totalled yet, there is a disagreement between the collision repair shop and the insurance company. The insurance company wrote a $5300 estimate, and Wagon Works wrote an $8100 estimate after the vehicle was torn down. I chose Wagaon Work cause I worked there for years and are one of the top body shops in the nation for quality and I trust them. The $8100 is even including most remanufactured and used components. That would total the car.
My xA has been more than just a car, but a gateway to my life as it is now. It got me my job, my friends, my girlfriend, and where I live is all result of my car. It served it's purpose and then some, ended in a bang with the Time Attack, I believe the time attack and the 14.01 record was the highlight of my xA and what it will be known for.
It's funny after all the racing I did, a pot-hole and a deep rut is what ended it's life.

Blown XA, just saw this thread. Glad to hear you're OK. Sounds like the car got torn up pretty bad. Look at it as the next project will be better yet! The car might be gone but not forgotten & more to the point, nobody was seriously injured.
Best of with the next project & keep us posted.....

dang man, that sucks, i never got to actually see your xa in action... i really wanted to see what it could do at the track in person.

oh well, i'm sure your show everybody what the xd can do since it has been referred to some people as the sleeper of the year with that duel vvt-i or whatever. i'm looking forward to what your going to do next.

ok update... going back and forth between insurance, and the shop, and myself, I was able to get my car fixed without totaling. Shop was at $8100 which would be total, I told them to not replace the radiator and ac condensor ( twisted, but not busted) and don't replace the ac line... and that prevented it from totalling.
Picked it up yesterday morning and I MISSED IT.
back in action baby!! Still the quickest xA alive!! for now
