So the 06's have a different ECU hmmm. I wonder if it's just a different pin configuration than the 05's or whether its just a different ECU all together? Marshall what is the manufacture date of the car? Is it an early model 06 or made in this year 06?
Did you call Greddy to see what they say?

I believe I read somewhere that ZPI has it working, so it is probably just a different pin configuration.

I know the 06's have a different fuse box configuration also so it's definitely gonna be a different setup.

the ecu looks totaly diff.. i think its a pin issue with the plug on the emanage.. the plug is the same an fits but i think some wires might be switched.. you start the car up and it sounds like a WRX???

Well i'm also concerned about the manual transmission issue.. greddy's website/instructions say Auto-only.... Which yeah I don't have... nor did i ever plan to have...

Default GREDDY SC (2006 MANUAL) DIRECT FROM GREDDY

Update from Greddy, California:

Ok guys here are the issues:

1.) Greddy confirms that the ecu has changed for XB 06 and that we'd have to hardwire something in ourselves or wait 2-3 months for them to develop a harness/adapter. It's a work in progress. So long story short, this kit will NOT work for a 2006. If you have a 2006 avoid it like the plague for now!

2.) Greddy said they've only tested the Turbo on a MTX, they said that the transmission may not be able to handle the constant power from the Supercharger on the XB MTX

3.) Greddy will not do anything for us that bought the kits, we will have to go through our vendors, and it's up to the vendor if they will buy the kit back from us.

So bottom line, if you have a 2006... Hold off for a while.. don't make the mistake we did... I hope this helps everyone before they drop nearly 3k on this system. While it's a great system, and should work with the MTX... us with new cars are screwed... for now... If you have an 05 or older, go for it, it's still the best thing going

In the meantime... I'm going to post my kit up for sale in the classifieds.. brand new/unopened....If anyone is interested!

cz3ch you said they tested the turbo on a manule transmission but it cant handle the constant power. where you talking about the supercharger or turbo? because if I cant have the supercharger than i'm going with the turbo. But if the manule transmission cant handle the supercharger than I dont think it will handle the turbo.

Sorry I should have specified, they said they "THINK" that it can't handle the always on power of a supercharger, where as a turbo spools up... I think it's more geared towards the powerbands for the Auto and the fact they simply didn't test it on a Manual... If anything a Manual transmission should be able to handle the torque/hp fine.. i mean it's not like we're pounding it with 100 extra to the wheel..

Just add a trans Cooler for the autos.... it will help disapate the Heat that is generated.. and more trans oil changes..

And if you guys are questioning the 06 issue we expericend it heer in hawaii.. it willplug in but the green light will not turn on. plug it in on the 05 and it light up green.. So hope this cleared up everything and will not cuase the apin and agony my friend in HAwaii is going through..

I just supplied Greddy with the 2006 XB ECU Pinout Diagram courtesy of a good inside source, and they are going to start working on it immediately. So there will be hope for the 2006 Models soon enough! They said the will most likely make splicing instructions available for us first, then hopefully a plug/play harness/adapter to compensate for this problem.

I'll keep you guys posted as I know more..

Got off the phone with Chris Lum from Greddy's R&D yesterday, he is willing to send us some diagrams for the Emanage harness/pinout if we want to start experimenting. They've had to backburner 06 issue a bit due to exhausts they are working on... but I can get it from him and send that and the 05/06 ECU pinouts from scion to whomever needs them and can try a home-brew solution...

Don't freak out people. All u gotta do is go to toyota and xerox a few pages of the ecu wiring diagram for the "06. The kit itself is completely the same for all years. I went through this already with the Greddy supercharger kit with my team-mates Celica GTS, he has an 04, and the kit is made for an 02, 03 i believe. Greddy doesnt even include the wiring diagram with most their kits, so a trip to the dealer is a given anyhow. The tune of the e-manage should be the same for the 06, the only difference is where u tap the ecu wires ( wire identification of ecu).

But getting greddy to give you the wiring diagrams for the emanage blue was the issue....
