Default head or block swap

u know how people are always making Ls vtec's or crvtec's or even mini me's i was wondering if anyone has any swap ideas seeing as how u have to have big money to do a full engine swap in the box due to lack of space and complicated wiring! maybe even if you can swap the crank to stroke the motor or a stronger stock valve train

why would it be sick??

the stock bottom end won't handle more than 6500rpm constant... so what's the point of a 2ZZGE head

i still think a well built 4EFTE is the answer to the xA/B woes

What car runs a 4EFTE? Sorry, not to smart on our Toyota motors... still crossing the gap from a B16 civic hatchback.

no problem. 4EFTE's can be had for very short money (generally under 1000) and can be built to withstand 375hp. not bad for a 1.3L

seriously massive boost and a seriously built engine. probably $6000 in parts/labor..

but you can swap rods/pistons/injectors/fuel rail for about 1400 and make 275 easy

swapping all that out, the rods/pistons/injectors/fuel rail, would that be a first step to the boost or building up for NA?

you'll have to fabricate at least one engine mount. you'll want to do a full standalone management. you'll need to run a return fuel line to the tank and you'll have to make custom exhaust..

so, no, not EASY easy.. but a better platform to build off of.

the pistons are already 10.5:1.. i think a tune would do a LOT for the 1nz NA.. but boost will always beat it. i'm 9-10lbs and 155whp with 150wtq. not as much as many other boosted 1nz's but my budget just broke 1200 lol
