ummm ... maybe pushing around 160 at the crank and 140 at the wheels.
with our light weight, should be able to at least keep up with some of the mid-power rides, and definitely kill ricers.

auto or manual? I know a turboed manual box dynoed around 180hp. I don't remember what else was in it though. Also, it wasn't a greddy. This may not be all the help you need, but I do what I can.

I agree 140whp to the wheels at most with a manual.. unless you run some Meth injection and crank the boost...

IMO if I were going to turbocharge my box I would go with ZPI's kit, They have made almost 200hp with their kit and It seems to be very reliable. Plus I have heard nothing but bad things about the greedy kit, and the heat issues it has.

ZPI made 180 hp with a prototype turbo that bares absolutely no resemblance to the kit they actually sell. And how can ANYONE say how reliable their kit is? There have been THREE kits produced. The previously mentioned prototype, Proshop's automatic and Fusion's manual. Proshop doesn't have the kit anymore (for personal reasons) and Fusion has only had the kit for a few weeks.

Not to knock ZPI, but their kit is anything but tried and true at this point. They have a lot of potential, but haven't proven themselves with this kit in my opinion. Let's wait until they are actually shipping the kit to the public and more people have a chance to really beat on it, and make their own dyno runs.

And where have you heard all this bad talk about the Greddy kit? Was it from people who actually owned the kit? I'd love to see a link to posts if you have them. The Greddy kit isn't perfect by a long shot, but I haven't really heard anything bad about it.

ya i havent heard anything bad about the greddy kit either, but i have heard some things about the ZPI. I have heard something about that video on the ZPI website which the XB dynoed at 180 HP at 7.5 PSI. some people are saying that it was a different kit and that the kit that they are selling is completley different. Also, if youve seen the kit on an XB before its installed differently than a regular turbokit isnt it? isnt it like installed on the bottom of the box? do you guys think it would be safe for the kit to be at the bottom? what if it scrapes or you are forced to go through a flooded area? is it reliable? and how come the ZPI would get more HP than the GReddy? kinda weird.... oh and thanks for everyone who replied. <3

As far as bad stories, I have heard of the Greedy kit melting every plastic thing around the turbo. I have a friend that melted his master cylinder resivor. And if I m not mistakin brake fluid does have a flash point, and Im not looking for a fire. So IMO Greedy is not on my list of mods.

As for as the location of the ZPI kit, the location of its mounting is a little different, but it does the same thing no matter where you mount it. I belive they moved its location due to heat related issues. Its location is not even the lowest part of the car, so rubbing issues would probably never arise. As far as driving through a flooded area you wouldn't be very smart even to drive a N/A car through an area like that. I have seen cars with rear mounted turbos makin the same numbers as the usual turbo set up. So as far as location goes I don't think it matters.

Location does matter to some degree. But that is beside the point.

The fact is, the ZPI kit bares zero resemblance to the kit they dynoed and mis-represent on their website. The only thing they have left in common is the fact that they came from the same shop. They don't even use the same turbo.

And get your friend with the GREDDY turbo online. I would lobe to hear his experiences and see some pictures of the distruction the Greddy caused. If this stuff is happening, potential buyers need to know before dropping several thousand dollars.

whoa man... first ive had the kit for almost 3 months, and i beat the living crap out of it... i mean burnouts... 2nd gear clutch drops, and redline pulls... i dont think any other person can beat on their kit anymore than i do....

i havent had any problems, other than normal bolts coming loose.. just normal upkeep, i keep up with v8 mustangs, and smoke about any other car that think they are quick.... i really need to get a video of me vs. a cobalt ss supercharged, or my frists v8 mustang....

imo zpi has the most relialbe kits out there, the car runs like stock, but sounds like a beast.... absolutely no engine problems at all, and i honestly beat on my car badly..
but im 18 years old, what do you expect?

im running a 14b evo gt III turbo, the one they sell with the kit.. the only difference is that the downpipe and other tubing is made so the kit sits up higher under the car, so people dont complain...

i my turbo box, and it smokes any other

It has nothing to do with being a fan of Greddy. I don't own, nore have I ever owned any of their products. It has to do with keeping people informed about what is really going on and available in the forced induction xB community.
