Default our block has cast sleeves????

i read that our block already has cast sleeves stock?? so with a piston rod combo they would be pretty much bulletproof right? how thick are the stock sleeves? is this even true??

also anyone with pictures or something that would be cool.. thanks

the walls arent even thick enough to bore it out any. we had mine sonic tested. there is the minimum amount of material there.

Similar to a tC block...it's an aluminum block with open deck and "paper-thin" sleeves. You can add rods and pistons, but the weakness is the block. So many on this forum have claimed to run their turbo setup on their xB up to 12+ psi producing 170-200+ whp....not sure how this is doable on a stock block.

All the turbo kits currently available for this motor is capable of producing more HP than the stock motor can handle.

I was actually able to run 13 psi on multiple passes on my auto xB with a T20BB and a return line fuel setup. I didnt get to dyno it at 13 psi so I have no idea what kind of numbers it was putting down...I did get dyno'd at 6 psi and the car put down 123whp...Id assume @ 13 psi it had to put down around 150whp
