hhmmmm, front what i saw, maybe im wrong, your getting the same effect im getting with my turbo.

Turn the wheel, step on the gas and PUSH!!!!! With all that power and low-end torque and lack of a LSD you get some serious heavyweight pushing. I know...

Looks like you really couldn't enjoy the power on an Auto-X circuit. Your car is handling and reacting just like mine when you put down your foot. I saw the You Tube video as well and its identical.

You brake hard at the braking point, tracks perfectly on the turn-in, goes through the apex like a monster on rails and then you get on the gas and all hell breaks loose. Its a push and roll kind of feeling. You get on the gas the front-end pushes, when you let off the gas there goes the back-end, its like a snapping motion if your going fast enough.

Kind of scary if your not expecting it. Besides that, the car looks very stable with virtually no roll.

the last run was in the rain, car pushes like crazy all the time lol.. my worst problem was torque steer actually.

i'm not on coilovers anymore, i'm on stock struts/shocks and Tein springs off an xB. i'm also running 245/40/17's so i have plenty of grip. i also haven't gotten an alignment since the engine was out so i'm positive that affected the runs.

overall i'm very happy with the outcome. the car is much stronger in all aspects, even "out" of boost the car pulls nicely.

next up, once i can afford it.. water/meth injection. i can't wait to see the improvements!

ok updates from tonight.. not sure if i posted how i made the NACA duct months ago so i'm gonna post those now here:

but first: the Beatrush Underpanel from Penguin Garage ! thanks Drew!

ok so here's how i did the NACA duct:

cut the shape i wanted out with a 2" cutoff wheel on an air tool
then laid in the side pieces.. i first used my sheet metal brake to put a small 90degree edge on each of the side pieces, then notched that edge with the cutoff wheel every 3/8" or so.. this allows the metal to curve slightly.. once the sides were cut the side pieces slip in from below and are tacked in place..

then push the middle piece down til you have it as deep as you want.. clamp and tack away..

then grind

for those of you who have seen the hood, you know it's not pretty, the IC doesn't line up (i've had to move it twice since i cut the hood )

so i decided to beautify the hood today and i'll deal with the IC fitment after..

a little of this:

one of these:

gets you this:

in about half an hour (not including the wait time for the paint stripper to go to work)

add the first few bondo layers, sand, and you get this:

well, not the lovely assistant.. she's all mine ;) (she did her first bondo tonight btw woo hoo!!!)

then laid down a little black paint to keep it from rusting til tomorrow when i can work on it again..

lots LOTS of sanding to go. next up, gotta buy my own D/A sander..

I was contemplating opening up my hood in some similar fashion, to get some better ventilation.....

I'll see if I can photoshop it.

a reverse scoop over the manifold would definitely help pull heat out of the engine bay..
