anyone else who has boosted, have you had any problems throwing the P0500 code for "Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction"? if so, what did you do? i tried to ask the dealer where the speed sensor was, they told me the only speed sensors were the ABS speed sensors. if that was the case it would seem that the code would specify which sensor is bad rather than generalizing it. is there a speed sensor the dealership just doesn't know about, its not like they know everything about their cars anyways ;). i really need help with this the CEL is driving me crazy.

 

I am not sure about the xB, but I know that in the tC, for GPS you can tap into the a "speed sensor" wire that is located behind the stereo. I believe it's the same wire that goes to the speedometer.

I don't see how that would differ from the xB seeing how you can put the same stereo or GPS unit in either one. Have you tried that wire?

If you haven't and you need to find out what wire it is, check out some installation threads of people installing a GPS unit such as the Pioneer Avic z1 or d3. It should be posted in there.
