Spark Plug gap on boosted xa?
Auto zone said gap is .044 on 06 xa. NGK says gap is .032 on 04 -06 xa. 05 service manual says .028 - .031. What should the gap be for a boosted xa running 10 psi and about to be retuned for 15 - 20 psi?

um i believe you gap smaller when boosting to prevent blow out, but our gap runs so tight to begin with, gap them at the standard .032-34 and you should be good, if it misses, youll just have to tighten em up a lil

I've been getting a "too lean" cel since I switched from platinum +2's to the ngk iridiums. I've eliminated everything else but the plugs from throwing the cel. so, I popped in a new set gapped at .026 and still throwing cel. I believe the smaller gap results in a colder spark that isn't burning all if the fuel and causing the ecu to lean out fuel beyond it's program which triggers the cel. i regapped to .035 and I'll see if this does it. service manual says .028 - .031 .... so it's become an expirement now to find the ideal gap.

i've been told to run copper plugs when your turbod, the cars just like copper or something. i keep getting the to rich cause my car kicks the tune every other day and my injectors dump fuel haha. check to see if you have any vacuum or boost leaks, thatlly cuase the to lean sometimes too

One step colder NGK copper V-power, gapped at .032, tC injectors, no codes. Before I got tuned, I was still on stock injectors and it would throw a bank 1 code. I doubt it's your plugs throwing the code. Only at 5 psi though, so I probably have more room for error. Really want to dump the eManage blue ofr Ultimate though before I up the boost.
