I'm bringing this back from the dead........

Anyone ever try or think of using an 03-05 ECU in an 06 so that you wouldn't have to rewire anything? Also, could you just cut off the connector of the 03-05 ecu and splice that into an 06 so that the Greddy piggyback would be plug and play?

The connectors are the same, thew 04-05 piggyback will plug into the 06 ECU, it's just not wired right. Swapping ECU's won't work either because then the sensor inputs won't be going to the right ECU pins. The only way to do it is rewire, either by hand or by buying the boomslang.

Well, if you rewire the harness Greddy provides it's essentially the same thing as the Boomslang one, so you can still go back to stock. I would STRONGLY advise against any cutting of factory wiring.

Wow, bringing back a dead thread! LOL, just kidding. I'm happy to help. I dug up my old Greddy install manual. Double-check that it's the same kit, but I think it is. I've never used this file host, so let me know if it worked fine. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.
but the clown that I bought the S/C off ebay from cancelled the order because his account was on hold. Then wanted me to shoot him another $50 to another paypal account until I received my refund.
