Default tc injectors into xb

My setup, custom t-3 twin ballbearing .turbo setup with front mounter intercooler,
apexi safc for fuel mangagment . Running auto tranny. 05 xb . Previous owner had
honda fuel injectors installed with turbo install. I have no idea what they flow or what car thier from. I decided to start at square 1 and install tc injectors, more flow and a known entity when tuning. Installed them yesterday and car barely ran. Removed them and replaced them with prevoius ones. Tested the ohm reading and both injectors are around 12.5 ohm. After things were running again I disconneted the red
apexi wire going into the computer. This shut the apexi off. Car would not rev above 3000rpm. Hooked it back up and good as new.The previous owner mentioned a toyota tech he knew modified the computer. Could this be true. I'm dumbfounded that the car wouldn't run with the tc injectors. Any suggestions?

Thanx in BC

I have heard if this done with people using honda computers on a couple of cars (other than honda of course) and it works some how. But the guy was telling me that the computers can be reprogramed and modified to the type of car you currently drive. Something way to advanced for me!!

shouldn't be messin with the computer. thats the brains of the car. it's like brain surgery. you could throw everything off with that kinda thing.

Try the injectors from a RAV $. They drop in and work on mine.

Ok, where to start, first off, the reason the car would not rev above 3k rpm with the safc out is because the computer was unable to get a mas reading since, you unhooked the bridge to the ecu. dont do that.

next, the reason the car would barely run, and im assuming break up/stumble is because (correct me if im wrong) the tc injectors are what? 380cc or something? the BIGGEST factory honda injectors are 310cc, meaning the car would not run because it was dumping far far far to much fuel, put the tc injectors back in, and subtract like 10% more fuel with the safc, that should make it drivable untill you can get it to a dyno for a wideband reading and actual tuning.

Go with Celica GTS injectors, they are 330cc's and will work very smooth with our cars. Im going to be running those as soon as i have my turbo installed.

you cannot reprogram a toyota ecm, no one has cracked the code yet, no one.

the tc injectors are 390-380 and are large for the tc. They are good for 250hp on a 2.4l way too big for your 1.5. Keep the honda injectors or run celica ones. you want low 300cc.

dsmx17 pretty much hit the nail on the head

^actually someone does have the key to toyotas encrption. I just recently found out that the reflash for the TRD charger on the tC is manufactured by a third party company, and not toyota or TRD...

interesting huh?
