Default Turbotoyotas Update.....website up (xB updates)

Well the site is up an running...still a work in progress(especially with the TC kits)
Check it out and I appreciate any and all feedback.

www.whyindustries.com

Turbo related products, suspension and driveline products too.

Keep an eye on the apparel section as I have some really cool designs coming out.

As far as the xA/Xb kit goes I have the intercooler mounting all figured out so you don't have to cut the entire crash bar. (honey0bucket and brownKIDDnate hope this makes you feel better )

RTon20's look forward to your comments

I recently lost the xA, replaced it with another TC. But if anyone is interested in a really good deal on my prototype kit IM for details.

Enjoy

Todd

Do you have any bigger pictures or any pictures with the turbo under the hood?

I would also like to know what type of numbers the kit will put down.

The kit doesn't come with any fuel management. I didn't want to make the final decision for the customer as to what managment they had to use. Plus it keeps the cost of the kit down. Its already the most expensive kit out there do to the components I chose. If I was to offer management for example an emanage for me to offer it at a competitive price I would have to do a rather large buy-in with Greddy which I am in no place to do...So the customer gets to choose...emange, unichip, AEM EMS its there choice. I recommend TC injectors as its just an injector swap.

The kits makes a good amount of power. I have learned from this site by watching other companies come on here and advertizing there kits and the power they make. I have dyno sheets etc, but until a customer of mine comes on here with there results everyone will doubt what it does.....lets just say this at 3krpms at 7psi it makes more than 130 ft lbs

I will be posting more pictures on the website over the next few days.....

I have a question. When you buy this kit and get to choose from the emange, unichip, AEM EMS, or the TC injectors. What would be the best choice? Could you buy the TC injectors and for a few hundred bucks more also get the emange?

What does the unichip and the AEM EMS do?

I'm still waiting to see if ZPI makes a Turbo for the xA.

Thanks for the compliments Rollhard

Kyle13-

When you purchase the kit, you decide what fuel management you want to use with the kit. These items I do not offer. I recommend using the TC injectors as they plug right in. If you use RC's for example you would need to rewire the injector clips. I used the emange on my own car and as soon as I had the adapter harness done I would have switched to the AEM EMS(as a piggy back not a full replacement). Being as that I no longer have the xA, I will be relying on a cutomer for feedback regarding the EMS.

Technically I could offer to sell TC injectors and an emange but there are so many other places that offer them at cheaper prices than I ever could(the main reason why I don't).......Plus its always nice (I think) as a consumer to have options, this way my customers can decide which ECU fits there needs.

Keep the questions coming.

Thanks

Todd

Great to see the site up and running. It loads a little slow, but I am sure you will get the bugs worked out. Also nice to see you are offering that turbo manifold independently. I know quite a few people will be happy to see that.

Also, if you are already in with AEM, you may want to check out the new piggy back they are about to release. The "Fuel and Ignition Controller." Essentially a dumbed down piggy back version of their full blown EMS. "Fullspool" posted up here in another thread.

And it is reassuring to see Eloy posting good things about your kit. From what I have seen of his posts on here, and heard from him in person he's not one to blow smoke or mince words.

Oh... and have you installed in an xB yet? How is the clearance with the turbo and firewall?

Also, get some larger pictures on your site. It doesn't help much if you "click to enlarge" and get the same size picture.

All of the piggybacks or ecus would work. Its the tune thats going to make the difference. Find someone that knows what they are doing. Many places will blow smoke up your ___ just because they think you know less than them.

I will have pictures up later tonight of the kit on an xB(in the midst of an install)
Its an Auto but you'll get the idea.

The 1st kit I did on an xB got an GT3076(built motor shooting for over 400whp) so that isn't a good representation of the kit.

RTon20's-

I have been anxiously waiting for AEM to release there piggyback, at the time it was easier for me to try and get the EMS working than try and wait for one of these. But once they are out for a while I will try one.

Here are some pictures of the xB kit...I am in the middle of an install on an local customers xB. Needless to say I wish I had an auto and a 5 speed when I first did the chargepiping. Making the changes for the auto made for an interesting and long day.

Another one with the downpipe:

And a bonus, just a small item I think helps with the install and cleans it up a bit:

Man... I have to get some bigger pictures. If you are trying to keep things a little under wraps right now, I understand. But pictures that are 150x150 pixels are just too small. Do you have anything in at least a 600 pixel width range?

The set up ? I don't fully understand If you could elaborate a bit more I can help.

I really wouldn't compare it to the ZPI kit as they are totally different from each other. Other than both of then being turbo kit thats were the comparison ends.
Plus I don't want to start any issues to I will leave that to someone else. (RTon20's would be perfect)

Price lists at $3299.00 (note no fuel management is included, this option is up to you) I am interested in getting a few kits out there, anyone seriously interested please email me @ Todd@whyindustries.com or IM to talk about pricing.
Kit makes over 170whp and 160 ft lbs. ;) @ 7 psi
