What kind of supercharger for an Xb ?
Hi, I just joined but im thinking of getting a bone stock xb and putting a lot of aftermarket parts in it. Does anybody know what the best supercharger for the XB would be?
I've been looking at Power Enterprise SuperCharger kit.
Would the xb stock engine be able to handle 150ps @ full boost of 0.5kpa?
Here's the website w/ the SuperCharger http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pric...ercharger_Kits

Well i personaly like the Greddy because it is a true bolt on, and comes with the e-manage for the computer. The PE is nice but you need to run fuel pressure regulator and bigger fuel pump. Not 100% bolt on as far as im concerened. But thats my opinion, good luck on whatever you choose.

has always come with a fuel controller.
the fuel controller is not as effective as emanage.
only thing "better" about blitz is the high-med-low - off switch
if I were gonna do it over, I would get greddy

lol, it has dust on it! House dust, not road dust...
my spring break is 2 weeks off, so i should be getting that weld done then, and then I will get that damn thing in...
i hope...
If I had gotten a greddy kit, I wouldve had it in the day it arrived, That is the Main reason i would get greddy if I did it over

From what I've researched out there.. the best bang for the buck is the Greddy S/C. They can be found for a great price (2k ish with emanage and ready to roll) and give you a great HP/$ ratio IMO. Remember, the xBs are based off of the echo engine which can't handle a huge amount of boost. So getting a nice "safe" little kick from the Greddy would be your best option. If you do decide to get it, let me know and we'll take to to a dynojet and have it dyno-tuned for you. I have the hookup for Dynos/Tuning and I can do it as well.

3rdGenXB, there is no TRD supercharger for xA or xB. Only tC.
It seems no one is too interested in getting sound clips of their supercharger unfortunately. Also, getting a good sound clip is difficult since most people are using digital cameras. You won't get a really good idea of the sound.
I've only been in a box with the Blitz supercharger. It has a pretty high pitched "WEEEEEEEE" sound to it. I liked it a lot. I've heard in different places on the forum that the Greddy sounds the same or the Greddy is more quiet. I honestly don't know the truth.
On a side note, everyone talks shmack on the Blitz, but blown_xa is running the blitz with a 17hp shot of NOS and he out-raced the turbonetics tC. I think he dyno'd at 160 to the wheels.
Overall performance/price, no one knows. The greddy is cheaper and easier to install. No one has a dyno comparison. Until then, it's all guess work.

I just paid for a greddy from Pracing.com this week.
Here is the setup:
2006 XB 5spd
Greddy Supercharger + Emanage software
Aem CAI
DC Ceramic Headers 4-1
Greddy Sup2 Exhaust
NGK Iridium IX -1 cold plugs
I was offered 4 dyno sessions by a local sponsor:
Session 1: Stock Dyno, no mods
Session 2: I/H/E Installation
Session 3: I/H/E + Greddy S/C
Session 4: With the specs from greddy and the help of their tuner and myself will be turning the boost up from 4-5lbs to 6-8lbs
My attempts are to document and video everything and of course provide dyno sheets.
The blitz is supposed to be a good kit, however people are reporting running really rich on it more than they need as their piggy back FMS doesn't seem to be on par with the greddy Emanage.
I'm not running any nitrous at this time, I've never felt comfortable running boost and nitrous, but we can definately give that a try down the road too.
Maybe some of the other boosted XBs and XAs can post some videos?
Rocket?

I think the only 4-2-1's are obx and mmw.
