Default xb turbo

i have a xb im looking in to geting a turbo. but im concerned about blowing up the motor the company told me its a bolt on and i dont have to do any internal work but i dont know what do you think. shuold i go for it and leave every thing stock or should i upgrade some stuff first im on a low budget

This is what the search button is for. There are plenty of writeups on turbo kits in this forum. All with more than enough info.

Be safe and use an engine management system and keep the boost at a reasonable psi.

Man I hate when people do that!!! so I going to answer it. If you have a low budget dont go with a turbo. Its safe to run boost on a stock engine only to a certain point.

you use the engine management to tune so you will need to be tuned

more work!!! is it hard to tune yourself. could you use the engine management to controll the boost.

Electronic boost controller or spend them money on a standalone system like Autronic and you won't have much to worry about. Plus it is easy to tune yourself after a quick display from an experienced tuner.

In another post they say that the manule trans could not handle the power from the supercharger. So that means the manule trans cant handle the power of the turbo.

Stock clutch will slip. That is the only part of the transmission that won't hold up. Get a new clutch and you should be fine. ZPI hasn't broken axles or any other part. All they did was wear out the stock clutch.
