Yes this package will be best used for F/I applications with some turbo pistons. You could use it if you planned on running a beast of an N/A application and some high compresion pistons. Either way it will help the flow in and out much better than the stock.

The ZPIracing stage 1 cylinder head is for the serious enthusiast. Features larger port matched intake and exhaust manifold ports. This system will make the car run overly rich and more power can be found when used in conjunction with a piggyback fuel controller, such as an emanage.

1. what is progress on the xa kit(2006)

1. The kit is still in progress... They are swamped with a million and one things, but dilegently trying to get the xA kits fabbed and ready to go.. Soon thou.

2. No honest clue on how much to pull the head.. it will very from shop to shop and where in the country you are.. With the right knowledge and tools you could pull it yourself. If you want to have ZPI pull it for you I could find out... You could always talk to them about a combo price on the head work, piston, trubo kit and install..

what kind of hp gain could i see with this mod considering all usual boltons, and second will i get a cell from running this. You mentioned that i will tend to run rich, will i need to go with some sort of AFC or engine managment. If so i guess i am back to the "too smart" ecu game? Are high compression pistons a must as far as engine reliability? One question turned into.... i lost count.

Thanks

Yes you will run rich with this setup and can throw a CEL.. You can use Emanage or Emanage Ultimate to control the richness or leaness of it.. Are you staying N/A or going F/I? You might see a 10% gain in hp with bolt ons.. This mod would be best for F/I aplications to see the true hp gains.

wow, that was a fast responce. I was hoping to go N/A, and for some reason thought that i would see power all over the band especially low end. Head talk is something that is new to me. F/I really dont trust yet. And i still cant find info on how much it cost to pull a head typically around N. VA

Dont get me wrong you can go the N/A route and make some good whp .. There is a guy who spent over 5k going N/A and is making 150whp on an auto.. So you can do it.. P&P, high compresion pistons, rods, full exhaust, intake and emanage.. you will have a beast.. But this takes time and money and you can still have just as many issues as if you were F/I... Have you tried to contact Ptunning.com, they just opened a new shop up there and maybe they can help you out with the pulling of the head.

I live 10 min away from ptuning, and its a blessing that they have what they have, and do what they do in the N.Va area. I will ask mike about it. I need to stop by and grab some stuff anyway. Thanks on the N/A and F/I insight into scenario issues.
