thats exactly what im asking, i know convertor boxes exist for other cars, but i cant find anything that works for the TC. i dont know if the car is just too new or what? there has to be a way to remap the buttons to work with an aftermarket head unit.

I read a thread before about an aftermarket adapter that allows you to keep the steering wheel control. It had something to do with PAC. http://www.pac-audio.com/

thanks for the link, it looks like the SWI-X or the SWI-ALP will work for the TC... the SWI-ALP would be the convertor of choice with the alpine CDA-9851. no line of sight needed, and everything hidden...

if the iPod connector work on the stock h/u, it'll work on the Eclipse. They both made for Toyota. Not sure though, cuz I don't have the iPod.

sorry, my bad, AVN 2454, there's no 2494, typo :D
