Default 0db vs 3db....

Got a pair of JBL GTO627 / 637. On the tweeters there is a switch for 0db/3db, what will the different settings do for sound ?

Also, did a search on this saw some wiring diag but need clarification....
Looking for an expaination on what the 4 stereo connectors are on a 06.5 xB
stereo are for. Now I've come to this so far: Speakers, iPod, SWC (steering wheel controls) & Power but I'm just guessing....
There is NO indication on the back of the unit for guidance.

Installing a stereo, HD Module, SWI-X, Amp, sub, etc...... and I'm Stuck !!

Thanx

Use whichever sounds the best to you... They're used to control the level, or "brightness" of the tweeters.

The best suggestion I can offer you, go to your local radio shop and ask for a wiring harness. That way you don't have to guess. All of the color codes are explained on the harness and wire directly up to whatever aftermarket stereo/equipment you want.

So 3bd will give me higher highs ??

I have the Scosche Connector Kit which will handle the power , ant, remote, etc. and speakers (which won't be used) and it does fit the connectors that came out the 2 top far right, but that still leaves the other 2. Now the iPod I'm not concerned about cause I have the iPod connector for the new system. So I guess my question is which one is for the Steering wheel controls ?

Thanx sprOK3t 4 the jolt I needed on the wiring harness kit. I had it, looked at it and thought is was not the correct one so I started splicing the new harness in. Gotta excuse me for that but I spent an entire day Saturday eDeadening that ***** & Fathers Day running all the cables & speaker wires so I'm sore & spent!! LOL
So today was suppose to be the "hook everything up" day.........

Thanx Guys, your response was IMMEDIATE and very helpful, like callin 911 !

But I still need to know about the SWC.....

I will feel such a sense of accomplishment when I'm finally done.....

Not exactly, they will just be brighter or sharper highs. Best thing to do is try out each one for a day or a week, and see which you like better with your music.

There is no right or wrong setting really, just what sounds best for you. I personally do not use 3db because I don't like the way it sounds.

You mention the radio is a 06.5, but what year is your xB? If it already has steering wheel controls, then it is plug and play. If you don't have steering wheel controls you may be out of luck (unless you get a new steering wheel with the controls and wiring needed and swap it in to your box). A swap can be done, as it has been done before with tCs and I have heard of people doing it with their xBs
