Default 15W6's in an xB possible?

Hello, I just recently traded in my '99 Suburban for an '05 xB. Before the tradein, I took out my entire system, most notably my three JL Audio 15W6's. One of the greatest things about my Suburban is that I could have the subs, amps, etc. and still have tons of cargo room in the rear. I understand that this will be much different by doing such in an xB and I'm willing to sacrifice the entire area behind the rear seats for the subs.

My question is if any of you have seen an install with three 15" subs with the rear seats still installed and still be able to see out the rear window? I've been doing a lot of measuring, and it looks like such an install is very possible. I've seen a few pics online and they all consists of a lot of fiberglass work, exotic amp racks and other goodies, and at the same time, no rear seats and/or no visibility out the rear window. I'd really like to keep the rear seats if at all possible, otherwise, I may have to look into other options for subs. Maybe I should just substitute the three 15's for a single W7 or something?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

With enough creativity anything is possible lol. But I think since you wanna still be able to see, do 2 subs and dtich the third one. That way you will open your options a little more. But thats just me lol.

I tend to agree with what has already been said.....even further I would say that unless you just really enjoy that type of challenge, you would make things much easier on yourself by going with some smaller subs so that you still have room to fit the rest of your equipment back there also.....If you decide to stay with what you got then I look forward to seeing it when your done!

Yeah, I'm already leaning towards your recommendations. I'm either going to go with just two 15's or maybe downsize altogether, maybe a single sub install (W7) or a couple of 12's or 10's. I don't mind the challege, that's the fun part for me. It just doesn't look possible to do without doing some work on the side interior panels. I know I'm going to have to lose the spare tire and such, which is fine with me, my major problem is the width and the wheel wells. I don't know if I can stuff 45"+ of subs in the rear without running into major problems and/or having enough space for proper performance. I'm going to spend some time this morning measuring and making a final decision. Thanks guys for the help.

My wife has 2 12w6s, a 1000/1 a 450/4 and a kinetic battery in the back and it sounds awesome, but it weighs the car down too much. The car has no pick up and go and the brakes need to be upgraded. Next go round we will probably go with some 8w7s or 10w7s.

JL Audio used to make paintable fiberglass panels that you could mount 3 w6 subs in. They had a triangle shape.
