When I bought my 2006 xB, the sales staff told me the standard radio is satellite ready. Does anyone know what I need to get Sirius running? I know I have to subsribe, etc. but do I need a receiver installed or something else. No one at the dealer can help me. Thanks..

 

i thought it was XM ready...but either way you still need to buy the satellite receiver and plug it in...

 

Yes the 2006 factory Scion radios are XM and Sirius ready.

The Scion Sirius kit and the XM kit are the same price around $449 installed at the dealer. The major components of the kit are the tuner and the antenna.

If you have it installed by your dealership the warranty should be what is remaining of your 3 year 36,000 mile basic warranty.

 

Dayum.. lol And the salesman made it sound like it was no big deal and real cheap! Should've know better.. He said just go to best buy and get it set up for about $40. haha

Actually the Sirius will plug into any year xB. The Sirius and XM use the same plug on the headunit. You can buy it from us for a lot cheaper if you want. We have installation instructions on the site to. Let me know if you're interested.
