Default 530T Window Module

If anyone has installed the 530T window module, could you tell me if it works well. Currently i have the viper 791XV professionally installed, but the installer recommended not to get the window module. He said something lik that if the window stays open by mistake and if water goes in, the motor could stop working. i figured he wasn't lying b/c he would've jus done it for me if he wanted to make money. Can any1 tell me their experiences/problems with this window module. Also, does having the front windows tinted effect it?

Thanx

well i don't have the same module, but i've had a window rollup module on my civic before i got my tc. i've never had any problems with it, and it's been over 2 years i've had it. if the motor broke, then you would have the same problem with the stock window rollup motor. it's just a relay that controls it. i'd get it. i'm getting the same alarm for my tc and i'm getting the window module for sure. not having to remember to roll up your windows when you get out of the car is nice. lazy, but nice.

plus the girls think it's so cool. hehe ;)

I have all 4 windows on the xb set up so the windows will go up when arming and teh they can roll down via remote, also gives me one touch up and down on all four windows from the drivers switch.

I dont know why the guy would not have sold done the window module unless he has never done it before.

The tint will not give you any problems, it is so thin there is nothing to worry about. If the window doesn't go up when the alarms commands it to they should fix the problem before anything worse does.

I work at an Authorized DEI dealership and if someone wants to have a 530t or 529t installed, then I am more then happy to do so.

Actually I thought the topic was right on par. I saw it and it made me look to see what it was about. Hopefully my info helps.

How much can you do the window modules with installation for?
I had a fellow installer at Best Buy install mine for me... will that interfere with the installation of the window modules? I would like all 4 windows to do what you described earlier. Thanks -Rich
