Default Advice...wiring underdash cold cathodes to a switch...

I'm going to tap into the cigarette lighter power to run them....I was just wondering if i should use a separate ground or can I just tap into the ground for the cigarette lighter? Any suggestions or advice is appreciated....

you can use the cig lighter for power and ground. there will be no problem with that. just remember that you have to turn the key on for the lights to work, so you will not be able to sit with the car off and have the lights on.

Add-a-circuit. Grab one at Pep Boys, Autozone, NAPA, or whatever your local automotive store is. I think they're like $5 and worth every penny...

inccorect (sort of)

you have to find a fuse that stays live (+12v) at all times. Some fuse slots only go active when the car is on, or something else is turned on.

I just meant there are circuits in the fuse box that can be used all the time. Its true, some of them only work when the car is on...

I've seen those, and thought they were pretty cool. You have any pics of where you installed the switches?
