I work for circuit city which does hundreds of cars each yr and we solder our connections yet best buy crimp and they too do hundreds of cars each yr. Which really comes to one point...it all depends on who is installing. Granted there are horror stories about circuit city/best buy installs but the only reason why you hear such things is because both companies are nationwide. So no matter if you solder or crimp as long as you are secure and take pride on your work then your install should go smoothly.

HUbert, thank you, I thought this tread was buried. I agree with you 100%. It is the installer who makes the install, not equipment, bad technique will over come good equipment every time and shorten the life of the good equipment also. Bill
