Default Aftermarket Speakers

So I've heard you need to construct new mounting plates to mount aftermarket speakers... has anyone come across a company that sells these mounts already made? I know that if I have to make them myself, it'll probably never get done since other things tend to take precedence... anyways.. any help would be greatly appreciated.. Also.. if my only two choices were to upgrade either the stock speakers or the stock radio.. which would be better? Kinda looking for the least expensive means but to get a lil more sound... I've noticed the back speakers really aren't that great at all

I've heard if you upgrade the headunit then the stock speakers get a lot better sound. Just a bit of advice. And did you try pushing the ssp button(holding it down)?

Yeah I got the tc / xb xa thing.. I still think the tc one is pretty good overall.. I would like to find a better mp3 double din player that doesn't cost alot though.. any suggestions? Most radios only put out 160 watts peak no? Maybe adding a simple amp may be better.. not sure

Crutchfield..... http://www.crutchfield.com/S-LFV8swRT7Ap/
has the necessary mounting plates and speakers that will fit your vehicle.

Just click the, "What Fits My Car?" tab on the upper right hand side of that webpage.

I upgraded my stock speakers with Infinity ones. Componants in the front
so the tweeter is in the dash while the woofer is in the door, and coax in the
back. The sound is slightly better, but needs an amp to show its true colors.
You will not be able to turn up the volume louder without distortion not using
an amp or better head unit. I choose the speakers first because the quality
is a little better and I can add an amp to these speakers since the power
rating is higher.

Its always better to prepare for the future.
