Default All you ipod lovers like me. I found solution.Monster ICruze

I havent gotten teh Tc yet. should be coming in next week. This device hasnt come out yet. Should be out by December 1st. It cost about $200. http://www.monstercable.com/caraudio2/
It connect to most Factory radios and aftermarkets. It would connect to the cd changer or satellite port. I think this is very very cool. I need my ipod in the car. I was actually thinking about buying the Neo Ion
http://www.mp3yourcar.com
which is the same thing but the monster Icruze will let you see the names of song and playlist on your radio if your radio can display text which the TC can of course. Or to aviod this you can do the alpine way which is more expensive though. One question though. Is the stock pioneer system that bad that people change the speakers and head unit so fast??I love music in the car loud but is the radio just good enough for loud music? I like to hear that really good clear bass. Does the Tc supply that. I dont need bass where i feel it rumbling to death.

IMO-

The mids and highs sound OK

At high volumes the bass is lacking

I think many will agree with me that going with an Aftermarket HU with Aux input would be cheaper and better than getting that little connector.

Also, as far as the Stock HU being good enough...If you like music the way you say you do, you will sure notice a difference between the OEM unit an Aftermarket unit. As far as the speakers are concerned you would be amazed how those puppies sound if you put an amp in them... :D

Just my 2cents...

Ok which amp would be good enough to make the stock puppy speakers sound really good. And what aftermarket headunit is good and not ridiculously expensive.

Default itrip or Alpine deck

I bought the itrip for my ipod. ($40) it broadcast the music on the static radio station of your choice. Works good for city driving, but on a long trip it becomes a pain to find free stations.

I would go with the Alpine KCA-420i www.alpine-usa.com. Plug it in to the alpine and use the unit to control your ipod. It was priced $300-400.

So if you were going to spend $200 on the adapter, you might want to check out the Alpine.

I got the KCA-420i for about $90 at techronics. The head unti I bought for it was $260. All together I actually only paid $320 including install. Yeah I know that does not add up, but for the headunit and install I got hooked up.

the alpine box to play ipod through an alpine deck has a msrp of 100$ i think

and a lot of people go with aftermarket stereos because there is more options on them than factory. factory radios have less so they are cheaper. with a good aftermarket you can control the subwoofer and all that good stuff from the deck. and have a better equalizer and such.
