Alpine CDA-9855 & Stock Speakers
Everyone is aware what a big difference going from tC to either xA or xB SSP setting makes and from Neutral to Feel. I was wondering if anyone has set up there aftermarket headunit with the stock speakers. What crossover settings to you select? Anyone have an Alpine feel free to drop setting suggestions. Also I can wait till the 9855 is on iPersonalize (this feature sounds so cool).
I think that crossover settings are highly subjective, but I had mine set up as follows when I had my full install in my last car:
Low Pass - 80Hz
High Pass - 63Hz
This was when I had subs though. If I was runnign a straight head unit to stock speaker setup, I'd probably use 63Hz high pass... maybe 50Hz if you're brave. Dunno how well the stockies would hold up or if they'd be distorted though.

I have the 9855
Just bought it yesterday and installed it in 30 min.
DAMN this HU has some very tweakable pro-level settings. I'm still trying to figure it all out, and I haven't gotten to the crossover parts yet.
I kinda wish it had "dummy mode" where I could just change the treble and bass until I get my amp(s).
Currently, I'm running just the HU straight to the stock speakers.
More to come...
